The heat in Dallas, it is soo hot.

Wow , it is so very hot out there, but I am soo over of it. I love Texas, I was born here and most likely will die here, but with all this heat, the mountains in the Rockies sure look inviting, and it doesn't matter which state they are in. Kinda makes a person miss the cold we had this past winter.

So for those that don't know or are always thinking "the thermometer is wrong, it is hotter than it is reading or saying" they are right. If they are in the direct sunlight, it is usually 15 degree's or more hotter than the temp they are calling on the radio, TV or your thermometer and that is because the temperature is taken in a shaded box sitting off the ground, it is called a Stevenson screen.

The a/c runs nonstop, the house doesn't cool down until 4:00 am and then it is too late or early to enjoy the coolness. The dogs don't go outside except to use the bathroom. I was going to blow some insulation in the attic, but that will have to wait until it cools down some which will be in October.

Morgan and I had been going fishing on Fridays (my day off in the summer) with Ronnie, but it is just too hot and that really bites.

I have never tried to fry an egg in the sun , mainly because I didn't feel the need to waste a good egg, but I think I shall try it if I don't forget.

The folks reporting the heat sound giddy when they say we are close to breaking the heat wave of 1980, everybody wants to be part of history, I don't, "Been there, Done that, Got that Tee shirt". It sucked then and it sucks now, probably more so since I am not acclimated to the heat. In the 80's I worked outside framing houses and now I work in a office in the a/c.
